I have been taking photographs most of my life but more seriously when I went traveling to Asia and Australasia. This was back in the days of film so was a slow but fun learning process.
Since then I have been very passionate about photography and have been very active in learning and improving my abilities. I attended the Sheffield college to do an OCN in Professional Photography to improve my overall technique and understanding of photography.
This gave me a good taste but I wanted to take it further so I undertook a foundation degree and finished with a distinction. After this I continued on to Sheffield Hallam University to complete my degree in photography gaining a 2:1 with honors.
I'm interested in all types of photography from travel/landscape to extreme sports, people and social photography. I think this is mainly because I love traveling and being in the outdoors especially in the mountains, or near the sea. I enjoy photographing people and capturing the fun and emotions at different evens and occasions, from live music to weddings.
Outside of photography I'm a very keen mountain biker, climber and snowboarder.
I have been snowboarding since I was 16 and have spent time in France, Spain, and 2 winter seasons in New Zealand. My love of rock climbing, mainly bouldering, has taken me all over the world from the UK to Thailand, Spain, France, Australia and NZ.
